GRIFFIN – DeWEERD

            Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian manse in Mattituck Miss Nellie De Weerd, daughter of John De Weerd, of Jamesport, became the bride of Howard Griffin, son of Mrs. Aleta Griffin, of South Jamesport.  The ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Rees, pastor of the church.  The wedding party consisted of Mrs. Aleta A. Griffin and Oliver Griffin, mother and brother of the groom, and John De Weerd, father of the bride.  The bride wore a traveling gown of ivory blue crepe de chine and carried a bridal bouquet of white roses.  Mr. And Mrs. Griffin left for a honeymoon trip through New England and after November 1 will be at their home in South Jamesport.
            Mrs. Griffin is one of Jamesport’s popular young ladies, and Mr. Griffin is a member of the Sunrise Serenaders.
